Finally. The Time was nearly here. What time? If you’ve been following the History, you’ll realize that there were 2, possibly 3, things that have been eluded to happening sometime in the future.
First. The final transformation from Princess Becoming into an actual and full-fledged Princess.
Second. The return of her voice (mute until the Transformation was complete). This is not really a stand-alone item as it was dependent upon the former happening. But it would be exciting news nonetheless.
Thrice. Marriage. To Bronson. The gnome. Of course!
So which one was it? Let’s find out…
Kelley had no idea herself what was about to happen. Theodora had sent her and one of the shop “girls”, Ivy, on an errand deep into the forest. Gathering nectar from a flower that only grew on the west side of trees which only grew on a knoll some distance in. It was all highly suspect – why would Theodora need Kelley to do this when a fairy could poof! there and back and then bake a batch of cinnamon rolls in the time it would take Kelley to walk there herself. However, Kelley, for some strange reason (which might have had something to do with the tea Theodora had brewed for her earlier that very morning) was in a very la-la-la, head in the clouds, daydreaming frame of mind and when handed the bottle in which to collect the nectar, she blankly nodded and then slowly began to stroll off. In the wrong direction. It was at this point that Ivy was sent to guide her in the correct direction and make sure she didn’t get lost. So off they went – a fairy, fairly bursting with excitement and a slightly (herb) intoxicated Princess Becoming.
Once they had gone from view, Theodora and the other fairies set to work. The Soapies shop and classroom were poofed! clear and within a short time, transformed into a flower draped and laden indoor grove. Several strapping and glorious (oh, so swoon worthy and handsome and muscular and… ahem! sorry about that!) elves brought in a wooden gazebo and placed it at one end of the room. It was quickly draped with ivy, wisteria, gardenias, miniature roses, jasmine, and a host of other heady flowers. Moss lined the floor and butterflies danced in and among the flowers and other flora. It was as if Soapies had been transformed into one of those English secret gardens (overgrown with flowers and greenery) or even a fairy clearing… and more than a little magical.
At this point I’m sure you have hit upon what is about to happen. They’re going to turn Soapies into a flower shop! It makes sense, right? Flowers, moss, gardens, fairy clearings — of course not! While truly a great idea, that has nothing to do with the Wedding that is about to take place.
Theodora is going to marry Bronson?!
NO. If you’ve read the History, it’s obviously clear that KELLEY is going to be marrying BRONSON. Yes, Bronson. The ugly, hideous, quite wretched looking little gnome. Poor Kelley.
Except – not “poor” Kelley. She definitely had fallen in love with that gnome and was more than content to spend countless hours with him. Speaking of which, it was dusk when she and Ivy finally returned from their nectar-gathering trip. Kelley’s mind was a bit clearer by this time and she was just a bit confused. Why was she sent into the woods? And why was Ivy giggling (manically at this point) non-stop and flitting around like a hummingbird? They finally emerged from the woods into the town and headed toward the Soapies shop.
But before they could get too far, Kelley was startled by Theodora who suddenly and unexpectedly appeared before them with several other fairies.
“Come with us, Princess,” she said and taking Kelley’s hand, she and the fairies poofed! away.
The day is almost over and my time is up. Next week, You are cordially invited to the wedding of Bronson and Kelley, Princess-Becoming. It will be a glorious day indeed!
