What a disaster. Poor Kelley sat amidst the ruins of her shop, in turn crying and then silently raging. Her business was ruined, she was sure of it! And all because she had the misfortune to have been raised by that horrible, awful, lunatic of a step-monster. Oh yes, she realized almost immediately who was behind this attack. How unfair! Her crying turned once again to a burning anger and when Theodora entered a few minutes later, she found Kelley levitating a good 4 feet off the floor. Her red hair was standing out around her head, crackling with jolts of ever-increasing static electricity and a cloud of debris was blowing around the shop in a whirlwind of destruction.
Immediately realizing the danger of a Princess-Becoming total meltdown, she rushed to Kelley’s side and began to tell her not to worry – all would be well. However, Kelley either couldn’t hear her or was refusing to listen and instead levitated even higher and as she did so, the whirlwind grew in intensity. Larger items such as chairs and heavy books joined the whirlwind and Theodora gave one last attempt at grabbing Kelley and calming her down before she gave up and attempted to flee from the room. As she ran, she began yelling for Bronson, but her voice was lost amongst the roar of the wind and the crackles of electricity that were beginning to thunder through the room.
Suddenly, with a mighty CRACK! Bronson appeared and gave one little wave of his arms. Just like that, the shop set itself to right. The rancid oil was gone as though it had never existed, the wind and lightning ceased, and everything was in its place… except for Kelley – she still hovered in mid-air with her eyes screwed shut and a look of terrifying rage upon her face.
Bronson looked at her for a moment and then bellowed, “PRINCESS. ENOUGH.” Kelley came to with a start, looked down at Bronson, and was immediately filled with embarrassment and fear. He looked positively furious! She quickly descended to the floor and sat down in a chair. “Ummm…” she thought.
“Princess.” Bronson said severely. “I am ashamed and very disappointed. Nothing that happens, no matter how hideous, unfair, or vile it is, should cause a Princess to display such a childish tantrum.”
Kelley started to argue silently but with another wave, Bronson stopped her and continued. “I will hear of no excuses. Yes, Grismelda is a vile person but no, that is no excuse for this unseemly and most definite un-Princess like behavior.”
He went on like this for some time and by the time he finished, Kelley was weeping in humiliation and sorrow. Certainly he would strip her of her growing powers and reduce her back to the simple girl she had once been. She had ruined everything! This stupid temper of hers. And then a horrifying and terrifying thought entered her mind… he would not love her now! She began to sob as this thought pierced her heart. Her life was surely over.
But then, Bronson was before her, pushing her hair away and gently grasping her face. “My dear Kelley. That will never happen. I’ve given my word and things have been set in motion. Not even the most childish of tantrums will change this.”
Hope ran rampant through her body as he looked at her for a few moments and then kissed her softly on the cheek before vanishing in a purple POOF! Theodora came in and sat down beside her.
“All will be well, Princess. You’ll see. All will be well.”
